WHAT DOES CLEAN BEAUTY MEAN?
For BOGNA SKIN "CLEAN BEAUTY" means products including ingredients with high value quality, efficacy, and origin, without suspected substances of being harmful to human health, such as disrupting hormones and irritating the skin. It also means not using ingredients that are harmful to the environments and its ecosystem. Our formulas do not include any petrochemical derivatives, silicones nor microplastics. Important part of BOGNA SKIN philosophy is also constant improvement of company activities to minimize carbon footprint.

NO PEG
PEGs are are difficult to biodegrade. They are mainly used as detergent surfactants and emulsifiers.

NO SULPHATES, SLS, SLES
A family of foaming agents that can cause allergies and irritation on the skin. SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE - this chemical is the fact that it's frequently contaminated by 1,4 dioxane, a known carcinogen that is a common by-product of the manufacturing process

NO Silicones
Silicones are difficult to biodegrade. They are mainly used for their sensory contribution.

NO Parabens
They are mainly used as preservatives, because of their antibacterial and antifungal properties. However, parabens are potential endocrine disruptors.

NO Microplastics
Non-biodegradable micro plastics are extremely harmful to the environment.
NO Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone
It is not recommended that cosmetics to which it is added be used by people prone to sensitisation and with very sensitive skin.
NO Phthalates
Ingredients that allow fragrances to last longer. Some phthalates are considered hormone disruptors.

Ingredients with antibacterial potential, but are toxic to aquatic organism.

NO Phenoxyethanol
Ingredients with antibacterial potential, but are toxic to aquatic organism. Can be easily absorbed through the skin and some studies suspect to cause neurotoxic effect.
NO Methylisothiazolinone
This substance is not suitable for pregnant women and children. Symptoms of an allergy are typical of a contact allergy: reddened skin, swelling, blisters, irritation, itching. Its use is highly regulated in Europe.
NO Formaldehyde or formaldehyde ceasers
They are very strong preservatives, but can cause skin irritation.

NO Isothiazolinones
Methylchloroisothiazolinone (MCI) and methylisothiazolinone (MI), also recognised as isothiazolinones, are preservatives conditioning agents, but at certain percentages potentially causing contact eczema and skin allergies.
NO DEA, TEA, MEA surfactants
They are known as pH regulators and surfactants, but can cause skin sensitization and are dehydrating.

NO Aluminum
They are used as pigments, thickening agents, and antiperspirants, but are suspected of increasing oxidative stress.

BHA and BHT can cause allergies and irritation on the skin.
